Lon Lopez

Lon Lopez is an award winning filmmaker and producer from San Jose, CA. In 1995 he started Thanks But No Thanks Productions, originally as a record label to promote local bands, but the company soon found itself producing feature films, digital videos, television commercials, and more.

One of Lon’s first digital shorts, Oh Yeah, won first place in the Wizard Magazine’s Direct to Video 4 Contest. Oh Yeah also went on to show at the Cinequest Film Festival as well as Wondercon 2004 and the video currently has over 800,000 views on YouTube.

Lon also launched the successful comedy site, Moron Life, which currently has a YouTube channel with over one million unique views. Moron Life has also been, featured on iTunes, G4 TV, The New York Post, The Washington Post, The Toronto Star, Inside Edition and The Dr. Demento Show.

His documentary, Rock the Block: The Story of the Cactus Club, opened up the Left Coast Live Music Festival and later earned director Lopez a CreaTV award for Filmmaker in the Feature category.

Rob Wilson

Rob Wilson is a small press comic book creator from Santa Clara, CA. As an avid action figure enthusiast, Rob has been collecting toys his whole life. He met Lon Lopez on the set of the hilarious web series, Crackpot Comics and the two bonded over their passion for action figures. The idea for A.F.A.M. came from a stop motion animation experiement that the two attempted one night. Once they figured out they could bring their toys to life, Wilson and Lopez decided to create an ongoing saga where action figures acted like action heroes.
